HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! [Tuesday
01/06/09 at 7:43pm]
[ mood | blah ]

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!!!

It's been soooo long since i last posted on my journal, hmmmm probably since i came to work in South Korea which has been a shocking 7 months now!!!!

well since its a brand new year i will attempt to post in my journal at least once every month (lets just hope i can keep this new years resolution)
but since my head is a mess posting all my random thoughts here might not be such a bad thing. at least that way i wont go crazy so easily.

so whats the current status of my life....

Now living in South Korea Seoul working at 'Seoul English Village' as a English teacher (well wouldnt really call it teaching i merely just baby sitting groups of children all day long).
have been in a 'relationship' with 'some guy'. why i say 'relationship' is because even i don't know where i stand in it & i call him 'some guy' cause thats how i refer to him even when i talk to my friends & they all say 'by some guy you mean ************'

so thats where my life is at for now.

next week when i start going more crazy i will post again

bye bye for now

notebooks [Friday
03/28/08 at 5:19pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

well its feels like university all ova again. cause recently ive been doing some research on notebooks cause i will need to by a notebook for myself to use while im in korea for this commin year. so ive been doing lots of research and study.

so my minimum requirements i want for the specs are

* Intel Core 2 Duo. this has to be a minium of 2.0GHz or more
* 1GB ram.
* 120~160GB.

so those are my minimum requirements for the notebooks im looking for. preferably i would like to get a international brand as i can get support globally.

i've personally always wanted a TOSHIBA or FUJITSU notebook. so hav only looked at those two brands for now.

TOSHIBA M9. this notebook is really nice has the processing power that i prefer only prob is that its a pretty big notebook and not made for common use. as it has a very robust look about it & its a woffty 2.4KG!!!!!
http://www.chevalier-itech.com/toshiba/eng/product/notebook/tecra/m9_e.html

TOSHIBA M600. this looks very slimline & sleek.has a webcam which is very usefully when using chat programs to talk to family when im ova in korea. is way lighter and is more friendly for da common user.
http://www.chevalier-itech.com/toshiba/eng/product/notebook/portege/m600_e.html

FUJITSU LifeBook S Series is also very appealing as they are thin & light & very friendly for the common user. & it seems that have released a few notebooks which are incorporated with the 3.5G, so that you can access internet with speeds of up to 3.6Mbps!!!!

hmm i can only get 1 notebook & i dont know which 1 to go for, the TOSHIBA M600 seems really appealing, but so does the FUJITSU S Series which have the 3.5G. but with the FUJITSU 3.5G is really new so it will cost lots $$$$$
http://www.fujitsu.com/hk/services/computing/pc/notebooks/sseries/s6510-3.5g/index.html

well there is 1 thing i am certain of. I wont get the notebook here in New Zealand as its cost soooo much more compared to the asian market. so im gona either get it from Hong Kong or Korea. as ive been told by my aunty that my cousin will be comming back to New Zealand for a visit at the start of May (which is just before i leave for korea) so time is all sorted out. just depends on how much $$ i have and which notebook i want!!!!!

Tuberculosis Test... [Wednesday
03/19/08 at 11:26am]
[ mood | worried ]

well i recently had a TB test done, well to be technically im still in my 72hour period, so will be going to see the nurses tomorrow. hmm im kinda getting paranoid that my spot is gettin bigger, but everyone here at wrk says it looks like a mossy bite & im just over reacting, well i just hope that im over reacting & that there isnt any thing wrong.

Reading the Results of the TB Skin Test
Forty-eight to 72 hours after the Mantoux / PPD tuberculosis skin test is performed, you will need to return to your healthcare provider to have the results read. This involves a brief examination of the test site.
A nurse will look at the test site and palpate the area to determine if the test site is raised and feels hard to the touch. He or she will use a ruler to measure the raised bump, if one exists. The nurse will record the results in millimeters to represent the size of the raised bump. If the test site does not have a raised bump, "0 mm" will be recorded.

cold cold aircon!! [Thursday
03/13/08 at 5:25pm]
[ mood | cold ]

why is it that all offices seem to love having the aircon set sooooo low. to that point that it ur hands start to turn blue.
it seems dat they do not understand the concept that if in a air conditioned room to a long period of time the same cold temperature makes people colder esp whn they dont actually walk out of da building to feel the natural temperature.

so ultimately wot im tryin to get at is, dat im FREEZING here at work!!!!!!!

TEACHING IN SOUTH KOREA!! [Monday
03/10/08 at 11:22am]
[ mood | shocked ]

Well the ball is now finally rolling.

lets start off from back in august 2007, i was looking into all these difference programs where u can teach english to children & get paid for it. but the only programs i looked at was Japan, cause as ANYONE who knows me (either personally or web) will have noticed that i am totally in LOVE with japan!!!!! be it the culture, food, or entertainment (hehe JE boys)

but with my trip 2 hong kong in september-october for my cousin's wedding i totally forgot bout it all & i even went as far as filling out the application form, the main thing i forgot was 2 SEND the application form. so there went my chance to go live in japan for 1yr & get paid 4 it...

but that didnt mean i didnt try other programs, with a walk along the beach with my mate we started talkin bout going ovaseas to teach english & she told me that she just had a friend come back from south korea teaching kids english in a really relax environment & totally enjoyed it.

so thn frm dea went on a big hunt for different programs in korea... but i carried on with my serach for a program to teach in japan as japan was my 1st choice, i didnt get as far as gettin a phone interview with another program for japan but they didnt hav very good condidtions.
As all the south korea program included free living arragements & paid airtickets.

during this time of applying to all south korea porgrams we could find my mate (who i have know for over 10yrs) convinced another mate of ours (this friend who i meet frm my uni days) i didnt even mention this as i KNOW she is not da time to travel abroad + its the type of person where i can only handel in 'small doses' to join the band-wagon in teaching english in south korea.

so then it was the 3x of us applying 2 teach in korea... finally we got this 1xprogram where i sent my CV on the monday, got a call on wednesday asking wot time would suit 2 have a phone interview, had a phone interview on the thursday & got the reply that we were accepted the same night!!!!

so everything happend sooo fast. so bottom line is IM GOING 2 KOREA in May 2008 & wont be back in my beloved country NEW ZEALAND until May 2009!!!!!

GRADUATION [Friday
03/07/08 at 2:20pm]
[ mood | excited ]

Well its finally coming near. after having completed my studies in a Bachlor of Arts with a Major in Information Systems at Massey University Albany New Zealand back in Semester 1 2007.

Having had to wait nearly 1x whole year before i can actually attend my own graduation seems like a long & painful waiting time.
but its all finally happening. have sent out the application form to apply for graduation & got myself 8x tickets for family to attend but wont know 100% if i will get the 8x tickets cause of the numbers of people attending the ceremony but fingers crossed that i get them.

have also sent my application form for the hire of graduation robes which was a TOTALLY rip-off. as the total cost for gown hire is only NZ$60 but the cost of the bond is NZ$65 which comes to a total of NZ$125!!!! i just cant believe that the bond cost more than the actual gown hire!!!!

so only a few more weeks to go until graduation ceromoney. the big day 17th April 2008!!!

end of an era [Friday
03/07/08 at 1:53pm]
[ mood | content ]

well its finally happend. (though i knew it was comming). the board which i have been involved with for so many years have finally come to an end. im really sad about the news but its time to move on in life. As the owner of the board has personal issues which are more important that the board. which is something totally understandable, as i would do the exactly the same thing if i were in their shoes. though that doesnt mean im not sad about the end. but with that i would perfer to think of all the good times i had with the board & its when i think of it, it leaves me happy thoughts of the board.

But with the whole topic of a changing era, i myself have changed so much, just a few years ago i was totally crazy about manga, anime and anime music. Thoses were the only things i cared about but in the last 2yrs i have totally changed in my intrest im totally gaga ova anything to do with the JE boys lol and my range of music has grown wider (not ristricted to just anime music but still japanese music haha).

but that doesnt mean i dont like manga or anime anymore, im just not so otaku-crazy about it as i still enjoy watchin/reading even to this day.

Nada Sousou ~涙そうそう~ [Tuesday
05/29/07 at 1:19pm]
[ music | 涙そうそう ]

i have just finish watching 涙そうそう i cried sooo much even though all the reviews that i read about theis movie said it was gonna be sad, but then i'm a really sucker for tear-jerker movies.

the image song for this movie is also great, its the type of song where you just think that it is the perfect match with the actual movie, as in everytime you hear the song you will think of the plot for this movie, so yea its 1 of those types of songs.

so of course after falling in love with the song i HAD to get it. so now its in my playlist & as soon as starts playing i get all teary again.
so now im hunting the net for Rimi Natsukawa's music cause i wanna see if her other music is also this great.

05/24/07 at 12:57am]
Well this would be my very first post to my own LJ after much dissusion with my mate Nikki i decided that i will finally make use of my LJ and post my rantings about my life so that i will have this LJ as a form of stress outlet (this is to prevent myself from going insane)

so for people who have stumbled upon my LJ probably wont find it very interesting as this will be a place for my to just rant about stuff in my life and keep myself sane.
